As one of 56 seats up for grabs, Bukit Permai represents another front in Pakatan Harapan's effort to win a governing majority in Johor under the leadership of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Representing the Democratic Action Party, Mohamad Shafwan Ani carries DAP's message of multiracial, transparent and development-focused governance into the Bukit Permai contest. DAP is fielding candidates in 17 of Pakatan Harapan's 56 Johor seats.
